Privacy Policy
We collect your name, phone number, email, service address and a description of the fault, because a garage door repair cannot be quoted or booked without them. That information goes into our scheduling and customer records and nowhere else. We do not sell it, we do not trade it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time using the contact details on this site.
The short version
Three sentences, then the detail.
We collect what we need to quote a job, turn up at the right address and invoice you afterwards. We keep it in our own customer and scheduling records, along with the email or phone system the enquiry arrived through. We do not sell it and we do not pass it to marketing companies.
What arrives, and how
Through the quote form on this site. Your name, phone number, email address, the service address, and whatever you write in the message box. A hidden timestamp and a honeypot field come with it. Those two exist to filter automated spam and they carry nothing about you.
Through a phone call. Your name, the number you called from, the address, and notes on the fault taken by whoever answers. Calls may be recorded for accuracy on quotes and scheduling. If a call is being recorded you will be told at the start, and you can ask for it not to be.
During the visit. Photographs of the door, the failed part, the label inside the end stile and any damage. These sit on the job record. They are what an insurance estimate or a warranty claim is built from later.
Automatically, when you browse. Standard server request data and, where analytics is running, aggregate page and traffic measurement. We do not run advertising trackers and we do not build a profile of you across other websites.
Why we hold each piece
Contact details: so we can give you an arrival window, call from the driveway and send an invoice.
Service address: so the tech arrives at the right house and so the quote reflects your actual door.
Fault description: so the right parts leave the warehouse the first time.
Job photographs and part details: so a warranty claim, a repeat visit or an insurance estimate can be handled without guesswork.
Payment record: so we can meet tax and accounting obligations.
Where it goes
Into our own customer records and scheduling system, which is a CRM operated on our behalf under contract. That is the only third party with routine access, and it is bound to use the data solely to provide that service to us.
Beyond that, the short list: a payment processor handles card transactions and we never store full card numbers ourselves. An accountant sees invoices. If you ask us to deal with your insurance adjuster on a hail claim, we will share the estimate and the photographs with the person you nominate and nobody else. A court order or a genuine safety emergency would compel disclosure, and neither has any bearing on ordinary customers.
Nobody buys your details from us because they are not for sale.
How long we keep things
Quote requests that never became a job: cleared at twelve months.
Completed job records including photographs: held for the life of the workmanship warranty plus a reasonable period afterwards, because a warranty call two years on needs the original record to be worth anything.
Invoices and payment records: kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Call recordings where they exist: kept for a short period for quote accuracy, then deleted on a rolling basis.
Cookies and analytics
This site is built to work without client side JavaScript for its core functions, so there is very little to consent to. Any cookie set is functional, for example remembering that you have dismissed a notice. Where privacy respecting analytics is enabled, it measures pages and referrers in aggregate and does not follow you off this site. Your browser settings control cookies, and blocking them will not stop you using the site or the quote form.
Your rights over your data
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct something wrong, and ask us to delete it. Deletion applies to everything we are not legally required to retain, which in practice means invoices and tax records stay and the rest goes.
Several US states now give residents a statutory right to access, correct, delete and obtain a copy of their personal information, and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights. Texas residents have rights of this kind under state law. We apply the same process to everybody who asks, regardless of which state they live in, because operating two standards would be more work than operating one.
To make a request, use the contact details on this site and say what you want done. We will verify that the request is genuinely from you, which usually means matching it to a job record or a number we already hold, and then act on it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or who sees it, the updated version goes up on this page. Material changes will be flagged at the top for a period so returning visitors notice.
